Restricted Operator Certificate – Aeronautical (ROC-A)

In accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations, anyone operating a radiotelephone installation aboard an aircraft or at an aeronautical ground station (fixed or mobile) using aeronautical mobile service frequencies must hold a Restricted Operator Certificate – Aeronautical (ROC-A).

This training program is designed to provide practical instruction in ground-to-ground and ground-to-air communications, while covering all the knowledge required to successfully pass the exam leading to the official certificate issued by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).

Our instructor provides personalized guidance to help participants fully understand radiotelephony procedures and applicable regulations.

Training Objectives

  • Demonstrate a general understanding of radiotelephony operations and procedures
  • Properly operate a radiotelephone installation
  • Understand the principles of the Radiocommunication Act and regulations specific to the aeronautical service
